Backs of the hands
Pigment stains on hands or sometimes light brown spots can appear as early as at 40 years of age, and their owners would like to get rid of both for aesthetic reasons.
Both stains and spots are caused by the external environment, particularly by UVA and UVB rays, infra-red rays and cold. Prevention is very important here, namely the regular use of preparations with a high protection factor against UV rays. Already present manifestations can usually be improved or completely removed with laser. The treatment needs to be repeated, and if the skin is too frequently exposed to sun with no protection, the symptoms often appear again.
How does the treatment work?
Mesotherapy treatment has proven to be very efficient for dry, exhausted skin on backs of the hands. It involves small injections of hylauronic acid or a vitamin solution. Organic silicon is also sometimes used. Depending on condition of the skin, two to three treatments are usually needed, but nice improvement is usually visible as early as after the first treatment.
With increasing age, tissue in between joints at fingers' roots decreases. The hand looks "old". This problem can be solved by applying filler. Effect of this treatment lasts one to two years, depending on the choice of material.
