Depilation
Pulsed light depilation is a highly effective and completely pain-free method of gradual permanent removal of undesirable hair. It is one of the most popular procedures of all!
Why depilation?
Several millions of hair buds can be found on the human body. During hormonal changes in puberty, hairs begin to grow in typical places. However, thanks to genetic disposition or hormonal disorders, hairs may excessively grow in places where they usually do not grow. Fortunately, we are now able to efficiently solve the problem of unsightly hair.
Where is the procedure commonly performed?
Women:
- upper lip
- chin
- armpits
- groin
- around nipples
- shins
- forearms
Men:
- cheeks and neck, particularly because ingrown hair
- back and chest, because of sweating and sport
How does the procedure work?
A beam of light destroys hair follicles in several ways at once. The application on the pigment contained in a follicle is the most effective one, which the beam finds without disturbing the skin surface. However, only hairs that are in so-called active stage of their growth are effectively affected.
Since hairs are found in different growth stages, it is necessary to repeat the treatment within a specific time interval so that other hairs are affected that have in the meantime reached this active growth cycle stage. The number of treatments is very individual. Six to eight treatments within four to eight weeks are considered essential.
Light skin with dark hair is ideal for this procedure, but slightly tanned or darker skin can also be treated with this unique system of cooling.
Before the treatment, let your hair grow to 0.5 – 1 mm. In between the procedures, it is optimal to remove hair by shaving or epilating gel so that we have as many hairs as possible in the active growth stage for the repeated treatment, and the depilation procedure is most effective.
- is not painful
- is very quick, lasting only a few minutes
What happens after the treatment?
- After the IPL depilation procedure, your skin will be slightly red for two hours at the longest.
- After the treatment, the skin should be protected against UV rays for two weeks.
- The treatment is easier to perform on untanned skin.
