Procedure description

All methods of in-surgery teeth whitening are designed for bleaching the teeth using hydrogen-peroxide gel in combination with blue light with UV radiation that improves the degree of whitening.

After the soft tissues in the oral cavity are carefully isolated, whitening gel is applied to the surface of the teeth during the procedure. The teeth with the gel applied are exposed to the light of a special lamp during procedures whose length differentiates according to the chosen method recommended by the practitioner. The mouth opening is supported with a plastic retractor and tongue guard during the procedure. After the procedure is finished, the whole gel and the isolation of the soft tissues are removed. The shadow of the teeth is defined and pictures are taken before and after the procedure.

Bleaching agent

Carbamide-peroxide-(urea)-based materials are used for teeth bleaching these days, which is an oral disinfection agent recognized by the International Health Organization and it is absolutely friendly to the enamel.
