Haemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids manifest by the expansion of vascular plexus in the anus area.
They are caused by weak vascular walls in this area, influenced by genetic, innate and hereditary factors, as well as giving birth in women. Chronic constipation is also a very common cause. A consequence of these changes is repeated smaller or larger bleeding during and after bowel movement, frequent inflammations and painful hardening of varicose knots. In the initial stages, the treatment of haemorrhoids is conservative (non-operative): medicamentous treatment, dietary procedure and adjustment of life regimen. However, a more advanced stage of haemorrhoids requires a surgical operation. It is performed in various ways: from individual ligatures to the latest solution by Dr. Long's operation with mechanical PPH-stapler.
