Fat removal - liposuction

Liposuction is a method by which fat cell deposits are removed from problematic sites. It is one of the most popular interventions of plastic surgery.

Liposuction is recommended for people in whom fat pads form due to hereditary disposition and cannot be shaped by a diet or diligent exercise, and neither diet, nor diligent exercise help eliminate delimited excessive fat. Most common sites where subcutaneous fat excessively deposits in women are outer and inner thighs, hips, abdomen, flanks, inner knees, ankle area, upper arms, submental and others. In men, these are most often hips, abdomen, submental and breast area.

Tumescent liposuction with vibration

Gradually replaces the classical liposuction method.

Main advantages of vibration liposuction:

  • shorter operation time and convalescence period
  • higher volume of fat tissue sucked out per minute
  • gentler and subtler motions of cannula in subcutaneous fat area
  • reducing post-operation soreness, reducing bruises and swelling

How does the procedure work?

A tumescent solution containing an anaesthetic and adrenaline is injected with a thin syringe into the liposuction area. This guarantees that the operation is painless and bloodless. Then the fat is sucked off. Thanks to vibrations, the vibration liposuction is easier and quicker, even though very thin (2 – 3 mm) cannulas are used. The vibration level can be adjusted as needed.

What happens after the operation?

You wear elastic underwear for two weeks after the operation. Stitches are removed about seven to ten days after the operation. Rest in home care is advisable for the first two days, depending on the treated area; in some cases, returning to work is possible as early as the second day after the operation.

No work limitation is usually needed; sport limitation only for a few days depending on the operation scope and location. Shower is allowed on the following day.
