Nose plastic surgery
Nose forms the centre of the face and co-creates its character. There are many people who worry about their nose shape or size and suffer from low self-esteem.
GHC Clinic Prague offers to those who would like to change their nose a nose plastic surgery or rhinoplasty.
Why nose plastic surgery?
This intervention can reduce a nose bump, model the nose tip, straighten deviated nasal septum and thus improve breathing, or make the entire nose narrower. Improved nose then contributes to the client's enhanced self-esteem.
How does the operation work?
The operation usually takes one to two hours. Depending on its scope, it is performed under local or general anaesthesia. Nose surgery does not leave any outside visible scars; the operational access is from nostrils.
The aesthetical effect is usually considerable and so is the impact on patient's psyche.
Surgeons perform this type of operation in people after the completion of growth and puberty. Upper age limit is not strictly given, but it is ideal to undergo the nose surgery before 35 years of age, because later the skin elasticity decreases.
What happens after the operation?
The operation and post-operation state are usually not painful. It is advisable to stay at the clinic at least two days after the operation. After the operation, your nose will be padded for about three days and a gypsum splint is attached from the outside, usually for two weeks. Afterwards, pressure massages are recommended.
Bruises in the eye and eyelid area, headaches and swelling lasting several weeks or months may temporarily appear.
