What is a non-surgical nose correction
Non-invasive nose correction is a non-surgical method which uses fillers (dermal fillers) to address almost any asymmetry; it resolves nasal bumps on the side, in the centre or on the tip of the nose, except for those that must only be addressed by surgery. By this method, a Roman nose can be straightened optically in a simple and non-invasive manner.
Who is a good candidate for the treatment
Non-surgical nose correction is intended for those who are dissatisfied with the shape of their nose and are afraid of invasive surgery. Indication for treatment is always determined by the physician during the initial consultation. For some asymmetries, a surgical solution is necessary.
Before the procedure
Indication for treatment is always determined by the physician – dermatologist during the initial consultation. For some asymmetries, a surgical solution is necessary; in such a case, the client is referred to a plastic surgeon.
How is the procedure performed
Filler application is performed by injections in a doctor's office, usually under local anaesthesia by applying a numbing cream. Thus, the client can correct the procedure when it is done to allow maximum satisfaction with the nose correction result.
After the procedure
After filler application, a visible and adequate effect should be obtained immediately. However, at the same time, mild swelling may occur which somewhat masks this effect. The swelling is usually absorbed within approximately 3 days. The remaining oedema, usually discreet, can be visible for up to 3 weeks. Therefore, details of the achieved effect are only assessed 3 – 4 weeks later. The treatment does not entail any restrictions or downtime. The time for the body to decompose the dermal fillers is different in each client. The effect usually lasts for about 1 year.
