Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is used for clients with musculoskeletal pain and limited locomotion using a number of approaches, including relaxation techniques, physical influence of pressure, electric current, warmth, water and ultrasound or stimulation on specific acupuncture points. The physiatrist cooperates closely with the physiotherapist who has a specialized training to use physical methods of treatment, both device-based and manual, and is familiar with a number of treatment methods to treat the musculoskeletal system disorders. An examination by the physiatrist and the following treatment is recommended for patients with acute or chronic muscle spasms or blockages pressing on nerves which are subject of painful stimulation leading to limited locomotion. The department of physiotherapy also provides the possibility of using individual physiotherapy training.
