ECG

Diagnosis, treatment and prevention / Imaging methods

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a device used to make a recording of the electrical activity of the heart. The recording shows the effect of high blood pressure on the cardiac muscle, ischemic changes or heart rhythm disorders. ECG is a standard non-invasive method used for the functional assessment of the electric activity of the heart. The signal propagates from the heart relatively easily in all directions without being significantly reduced. Therefore, we may make a high amplitude recording on practically any part of the body surface.
